Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken tikka masala is an Indian dish. Although its popularity in the Western world. This recipe follows two parts: chicken marinade and tikka masala sauce.

Description

Chicken is immersed in a flavor packed creamy tomato sauce with a spicy kick.

Ingredients

    Chicken Marinade

    Optional

    Tikka Masala Sauce

    Instructions

    1. Add spices to chicken and let it marinade for 30 minutes
    2. Add 2 tablespoons ghee or oil to pan
    3. Stir-fry chicken in medium high heat for 6-8 mins in small batches until golden brown and crispy, then set aside
    4. Add onions and sauté on medium heat until golden brown 
    5. Add ginger garlic paste 
    6. Add tomato sauce and spices
    7. Let it cook on low-medium heat for 10 minutes stirring frequently 
    8. Add coconut cream/milk 
    9. Add in chicken and stir together on simmer for 20 mins 
    10. Garnish with dried kasuri methi
    11. Serve with rice or naan and enjoy 🙂

    Notes

    • If you want to make a more authentic chicken tikka masala add plain yogurt to the chicken marinade and use heavy cream instead of coconut cream
