Butter Chicken
Description
Butter Chicken is a dish that originates from New Delhi, India. It is a butter and tomato based chicken curry enriched with flavor.

Instructions
- Marinate chicken with minced garlic, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, curry powder and salt for 20 minutes
- Heat 2 tbsp of butter and pan fry the chicken in 2 batches for 10 minutes on medium heat
- Keep cooked chicken aside
- Add 1 tbsp of butter in the same pan and add in your onions, tomatoes, cashews and minced garlic
- Sauté for 3 minutes on medium – low heat
- Pour in ⅓ cup of water and stir for 5 minutes
- Remove contents from stove, pour into a blender and blend until its a smooth consistency
- Once blended pour it back in the pan on low heat with an additional ⅓ – ½ cup of water
- After the sauce starts bubbling add in the cooked chicken
- Add in ½ cup of heavy cream, ½ tsp red chilli powder or curry powder, ½ tsp garam masala and simmer for 7 minutes
- Garnish with 1 tsp of kasuri methi and serve 🙂
