- Add sugar to a pan on low heat and stir continuously
- Once the sugar is melted with a golden brown color add in the butter and continue stirring
- After the sugar mixture darkens add in the heavy cream and continue stirring
- Let the mixture thicken some more then add in your vanilla extract and pinch of salt
- Transfer to an air tight glass container and store in the fridge for up to 1 month
